Sun patches multiple flaws in Java
Sun Microsystems has issued patches for several vulnerabilities in its Java Runtime Environment that leave users on Windows, Linux and Solaris wide open.
By our count, there are 11 separate vulnerabilities plaguing versions 6, 5, 1.4 and 1.3 of the JRE, Sun said on its security blog.

Programming message services in Java
The Java Message Service (more commonly referred to as JMS) is a standard Java Standard Edition API that can be used to access a variety of different message servers. Although the name might suggest otherwise, it’s not of itself a message service, but rather a generic interface to a message server.
